English Grammar 2 (Progressive Tenses)

Okay here is part 2 of 4 of my English Grammar... this one is all about progressive tenses...

Again if anyone knows a good way of memorising these tenses please tell me! I have also decided i am going to take my grammar test on the 20th of May and I need to get more than 85% to beat my boyfriends score!

Okay so progressive tenses, a little harder than the simple ones....

Past Progressive : Is used to talk about something that happened at a specific time in the past.

Subject +was/were+ -ing form of verb + compliment.

Examples:

I was swimming yesterday afternoon.
You were laughing at that joke I told earlier.
I was having an amazing dream, when I woke up.

Present Progressive: Is used to talk about an action that is taking place at the moment of speaking.

Subject + to be +  -ing form of verb

Examples:

I am currently writing a blog.
She is dancing right now.
We are watching a movie at the moment, I can't talk to you.

Future Progressive: Used to talk about something that will be in progress in the future.

Subject + will be + present participle (base verb + -ing)

Examples:

I will be leaving soon.
You won't be going to school tomorrow.
I will be see my brother next week.

Aaand that's all for this post's grammar ... Next time is Perfect tenses~ much more harder I think than these ones!

Until Next Time!

Simple Future: Is used to talk about something that will or might happen in the future, we use 'will' to talk about something that is unplanned or predicted. We use 'going to' to talk about something that is a planned future event.

Subject +will/going to +bare infinitive +compliment

'Will' Example:
